Galloway Hills, 6 miles due North of
Kirkcudbright, half an hour west of Dumfries
off the main A75,
between Castle Douglas and Gatehouse of Fleet,
by Ringford. North on A762 for approximately 1½ miles, signed to New Galloway.
After bends turn left on to track over bridge
at Estate sign, and continue to keeper's cottage and steading.

Motorways - from South: M6 + M74 to Gretna, turn off onto A75, West; from North, M74 to Jct. 14, + A701 to Dumfries, then A75 West. Airports: Glasgow (2 hours), Prestwick (1 1/2 hours), Edinburgh (2 hours). |
